Every morning the paperboy or girl tossed the daily news on their usual paper route while the neighborhood patiently waited to see what was happening in the world around them. Now the news can be received right after it happens via television, internet, or the closest smartphone. Information media has evolved right along with technology and can now be accessed quickly and easily. Although the news can now be easily accessed and has evolved with the technology today, there are still flaws and room to grow. Information media has social responsibility because it provides news to everyone in the world. The importance of the accuracy of the news that is delivered to the public is serious. There is plenty of fake news that floats around on the internet that some people actually believe. There is a news station that makes fun of real news but actually is more entertaining and makes the news easier to watch. We recently launched in 2007 Onion News Network. And its doing extremely well. Its reached audiences that the newspaper and the online newspaper has never been able to reach through this whole viral thing (Randazzo). There are certain news outlets that the public turns to such as; CNN, Fox news, NBC news, and ABC news. Reporting false news or partial news will ruin a news outlets credibility. Reporting news that happens around the world that is not necessarily easy to obtain is information medias responsibility. By reporting the news, the public is informed of the things going on around. Therefore the news has taken on the responsibility of doing its public duty and reporting news that benefits everyone. People depend on the news for everything including what is going on with the government and the country. The only role the information and news media should play when it comes to politics is reporting information on what is going on. It does help that the media outlets sometimes show coverage of debates between political parties so that the public has an easier way to get information on the political parties they are choosing and maybe see what the other party has to offer. Information media should stay a neutral party when reporting information on politics. That way the public can decide for themselves. Information media is a lot easier to access on the go since technology has evolved. People can now view any story that was covered by a news outlet on their mobile devices anywhere they go. Because the news is more accessible, newspapers like The New York Times, can post online or on their mobile apps as soon as they receive the story. The newspaper companies used to have to wait until the story was finished then printed just to break the story to the public. For years, weve operated under the assumption that we just have to know whats going on by midnight when the press roles. And we have all day to work on that story. So we work and work and work on it. At midnight, you hit the button (Little). With the new technology, there is no more waiting and people can see what the news stations have reported on their mobile devices. People watch the news a lot more when it is more accessible and easier to access the exact story they want to know about instead of waiting. This makes news easi er for a new generation. A younger crowd is now more involved with what is going on in their community. With the new day and age, electronic media has become a part of everyday life. It has made accessing news coverage easier and is a way to get stories out to the public extremely easy. Newspapers may not eventually survive in the form theyre in (Campbell). Technology is slowly diminishing the newspaper and now the newspaper companies can still report news with a new found twist and the news stations can keep the public informed quickly, but just like anything that has to do with technology, the news is not perfect and the people that report it are not either. Particular emphasis is given on the parts of supply chain strategy, since the particular strategy is extensively used in modern organizations, having the power to sig nificantly support organizational growth. At this point the following issue should be highlighted: the literature published in the particular field promotes different approaches for explaining the role and the structure of the outsourcing strategy and the supply chain strategy. ... From a similar point of view, Philippart et al. (2005) noted that the outsourcing strategy is used when having ‘to identify the strateg ies which will be used for sourcing the appropriate products and services’ (Philippart 2005, p.118). The potential role of outsourcing as one of the key business strategies is made clear through the following example: IBM and Dell, key competitors in the global electronics industry, have significantly decreased their costs by using outsourcing in regard ‘to their key commodities, such as memories and hard disks’ (Philippart et al 2005, p.118). The Peach Tree When I reminisce about my childhood, the fondest memories I have revolve around food. We often went on picnics to the beach. There at the water's edge, my father would struggle to light the charcoal in the wind that kept both the hot dogs and the kids cold. My mothers' anise-sweetened bread was the perfect match for ham every Easter morning, afternoon, and the days that followed. On my birthday we always had gnocchi, fluffy pillows of pasta that melted in our mouths, tossed with an ethereal tomato sauce. In August we had peaches and not just any peaches, peaches from our peach tree. I loved our peach tree. I love the memory of that tree. In retrospect, the peach tree was an integral part of my childhood. I cannot recall when we first got the peach tree. It seems as if it was always there in the backyard. I do know that it was a gift from my aunt and uncle who worked at Del Monte's Agricultural Research Facility. Whether it was a rare or special breed, I wonder. The fruit was so sweet that I can't imagine Del Monte choosing such a fine specimen only to douse it in heavy simple syrup. Whatever its parentage, it was our good fortune to receive such a tree; it produced the sweetest, most succulent peaches I've ever eaten. The peach tree was special to us. It was, in fact, the only tree in our small yard. We grew through the seasons with it. Every February the first bits of pink showed through the tightly closed flower buds. By March, it was covered in pink, like overgrown cotton candy. In April, little flecks of green accented the pink blossoms and slowly pushed out the pink until a fresh, vibrant green blanketed the crown of the tree. During this transition, the lawn became a carpet of pink. Then slowly th... ... the old tree was producing only a few runt-sized fruit. One winter my parents cut down the tree. It left a scar on the lawn and a barren space in the yard. I hadn't thought much about that old tree for some time. It was the peach tree, after all, along with my grandparents' vegetable garden that planted the seed, so to speak, of my passion for the garden. The first fruit trees I planted in my own backyard were peaches. When I told my sisters that I was writing about the peach tree, they both smiled a familiar smile. For a moment, they were transported to another place and time. And I knew that it wasn't simply nostalgia seen through the nearsighted eyes of memory, it was real. In the years that have followed I have never found a peach as large, juicy and luscious as the ones from our tree. It may have been Del Monte's secret special breed, but I think it was more.
